Rougeline-Odelis – Tomato Variations
The name Rougeline says it all: this company specialises in red fruit and vegetables, and strawberries in particular. Amongst the many products at the Rougeline stand, visitors to the show will find the rare tomato variety “Rose” and two innovative, highly appealing new packaging forms. The faintly pink-tinted Rose tomato, which has soft, juicy sweet flesh, is popular in Asia, and the company aims to buid a market for it in Europe. Rougeline Odelis will be selling this variety from the beginning of 2009 in 3 kg boxes for adventurous consumers.
Another great product developed by Rougeline for consumers seeking a change from the usual tomato varieties “Panier Jadis”, handly 1 kg baskets of tomatoes which contain four or five different types of tomatoes, all of which are rare or old varieties. The content of the baskets will vary, depending on the time of year and what is in season. Contents can include Marmande, Noir de Crimée, Ananas, Cœur de Bœuf or Cornue des Andes tomatoes. In addition to the attractive presentation, the surprise effect makes for the appeal of the product.
The new MINITOM’S, 100 g bags filled with sweet cherry tomatoes, are ideal for children or for a small snack that is low in calories and high in nutrients.
